- Deal registration required before scheduling meetings
- No unauthorized promises, pricing changes, or contract modifications
- Confidentiality and data protection obligations
- Maintain lead quality—no repeated unqualified submissions
- Professional conduct—accurate info, no deceptive outreach or spam
Detailed Tier Breakdown
Referral Partner
Creates introductions to qualified prospects. Does not sell, implement, or support.
Responsibilities
- Identify potential customers matching our ICP (store type, geography, operational fit)
- Make warm introductions (email/phone) including decision-maker contact
- Provide basic context: current system, store count, reason for evaluating change
Obligations
- Deal registration required before scheduling any meetings
- Confirm lead is new and not already in pipeline
- Must not represent pricing, timelines, or technical commitments
- Must not collect sensitive customer data (PCI, credentials, etc.)
- Maintain basic professionalism in all outreach
Not Responsible For
- Demos, proposals, or negotiating terms
- Implementation or training
- Support or billing discussions
Sales Partner
Runs the sales motion through close using our standardized sales process.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial discovery using approved script/checklist
- Confirm decision-maker, budget range, timeline, and current system stack
- Schedule and host product demos using our demo environment
- Maintain opportunity in CRM (notes, next steps, stakeholders)
- Coordinate follow-up meetings, security/IT Q&A, and reference calls
- Provide complete handoff package to implementation team
Obligations
- Certification required (product overview + sales positioning)
- Use only approved collateral, pricing sheets, and proposal templates
- Respect territory/account rules and deal registration windows
- No side agreements or unauthorized discounts
- Respond within 1 business day during active deals
Not Responsible For
- Onsite installation
- Data migration work
- Configuration or training delivery
- Ongoing support
Implementation Partner
Owns deployment execution: install + go-live readiness + initial training.
Responsibilities
- Complete kickoff checklist: network/ISP, device inventory, lane count, peripherals
- Validate implementation plan and timeline with store leadership
- Coordinate onsite/remote setup per runbooks
- Execute basic configuration (roles, users, locations, tax rules)
- Deliver role-based training (cashiers, managers, receiving, back office)
- Run go-live checklist and provide hypercare during initial days
- Log configuration decisions and escalate issues
Obligations
- Implementation certification required (technical + operational)
- Periodic recertification when major releases ship
- Use standardized checklists—no "freestyle" deployments
- Maintain implementation quality bar (zero critical go-live misses)
- Follow L1/L2/L3 escalation boundaries strictly
- Professional onsite conduct and clear scheduling
Not Responsible For
- Custom development
- Deep troubleshooting of platform defects
- Database work
- Anything outside published partner runbooks
Certified Full-Service Partner
Primary day-to-day customer-facing team: onboarding + training + L1 support + enablement.
Responsibilities (Everything in Tier C, plus)
- Maintain regular check-ins (especially first 90 days)
- Drive adoption of features the customer purchased
- Coordinate expansions (new lanes, new modules)
- Be first contact for end users (L1 support)
- Triage issues and collect diagnostics before escalating
- Communicate release notes and provide refresher training
- Maintain internal ticketing hygiene
Obligations
- Strict SLAs for response time and escalation
- Maintain enough trained staff to cover customer base
- Named partner admin contact + escalation manager
- Recertification schedule and periodic quality reviews
- Quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and operational metrics
- No commingling of customer data or sharing credentials
Grounds for Step-Down/Removal
- Repeated SLA misses
- Poor customer experience
- Misrepresentation
- Failure to follow escalation protocol
- Security violations
